IssueKeeper — Privacy Policy

IssueKeeper is an Atlassian Forge app that helps Jira admins find and safely clean up stale issues. It is built to Run on Atlassian: your data is processed inside Atlassian's own infrastructure and is never sent to a server we operate.

What the app accesses

To do its job, IssueKeeper reads Jira issues you can already see (summary, description, status, dates, assignee/reporter, comment counts, labels) and the list of projects you can access. Every read and every change is performed as the signed-in user, so Jira's own permissions always apply — IssueKeeper can never see or change an issue you couldn't access yourself.

What the app changes

Only when you explicitly select issues and confirm an action does IssueKeeper transition an issue to Done, add a label, or post a comment. All actions are reversible and are recorded in an in-session receipt shown to you.

The AI verdict

The optional "AI triage" feature sends an issue's text to Atlassian's in-platform AI (via Forge's hosted LLM) to produce a close/keep/review suggestion. This processing happens inside Atlassian's environment; issue content is not transmitted to any third party or to Equinox Labs, and is not used to train models.

What we store

IssueKeeper keeps no database of your issues — every scan reads live Jira data on demand and discards it after rendering your results. It does not store issue content, and it does not collect, retain, or sell personal data.

Data residency & retention

Because the app runs entirely on Atlassian, your content stays within your Atlassian site's data boundary. Uninstalling the app removes its access.
